We are beyond proud to announce the release of Stories of Rock Island — a powerful poetry anthology written by the talented students of Rock Island High School!

Since third quarter, these incredible young writers have poured their hearts, their voices, and their stories onto the page.

What started as blank paper has transformed into a collection of poems that reflect the beauty, the resilience, and the soul of our community. Every word, every line, every poem was crafted with intention, vulnerability, and creativity that will leave you speechless.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of the Healing Illinois Grant — a reminder that when communities invest in young people, magic happens.

Now, it’s YOUR turn to show up for them.
These students worked tirelessly, and they deserve a room FULL of the community that inspired them. Come celebrate their achievement, hear their words, and be part of a moment that Rock Island will remember.
